1. Acceptance of terms

By using Autern, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Autern provides

Autern is a tool that helps individual students draft and send personalised internship application emails to specific hiring managers and founders. Emails sent through Autern are personal, non-commercial correspondence asking about an internship opportunity, not commercial advertisements or marketing communications. We use AI to generate email drafts based on information you provide. We do not guarantee any outcomes, responses, or employment results.

3. Your responsibilities

• You must only use Autern to send personal, non-commercial internship application emails to individuals you genuinely want to intern with
• You must not use Autern to send commercial marketing, sales outreach, fundraising messages, promotional content, or any communication whose primary purpose is to advertise a product or service
• You must respect every unsubscribe request and every reply asking not to be contacted again. Autern blocks unsubscribed addresses platform-wide, and attempts to bypass this will result in account termination
• You must not use Autern to send misleading content, harass anyone, or send messages that violate any applicable law (including India's IT Rules and the email-sender requirements of any recipient jurisdiction)
• You are responsible for the content of every email you send via Autern
• You must not attempt to circumvent the 50-emails-per-day-per-account cap or any other rate limit or technical restriction

4. Gmail access

If you connect a Gmail account, you authorise Autern to send emails on your behalf using that account. You can revoke this access at any time. You remain responsible for all emails sent through your connected account.

5. Acceptable use

Autern is intended only for personal, non-commercial use by individual students writing internship application emails. Using Autern to send commercial outreach, marketing messages, sales pitches, fundraising appeals, bulk promotional content, or any communication whose primary purpose is to advertise a product or service is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination. Each connected Gmail account is hard-capped at 50 emails per day.

6. Recipient rights

Every email sent through Autern includes a personal opt-out line and a one-click unsubscribe link. If a recipient unsubscribes, no Autern user can email that address again. People listed in the Autern lead directory can request removal at any time at autern.in/remove-listing.

7. Limitation of liability

Autern is provided as-is. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including any consequences of emails sent through the platform.

8. Refunds

Refunds and credit reversals are governed by our refund policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Autern after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
